03 Answers and one-line notes

# Answer One-line note
1 3250 m 3 x 1000 + 250 = 3250 m.
2 6080 m 6.08 x 1000 = 6080 m; shift the decimal point three places.
3 750 g 0.75 x 1000 = 750 g.
4 3850 g 4.7 kg = 4700 g, and 4700 – 850 = 3850 g.
5 3250 mL 2.5 L = 2500 mL, and 2500 + 750 = 3250 mL.
6 1080 mm 1 m 8 cm = 108 cm = 1080 mm; two conversions are needed.
7 3040 kg 3 x 1000 + 40 = 3040 kg.
8 12.5 L 12500 / 1000 = 12.5 L.
9 0 cm 9 m 60 cm is exactly 9.6 m, so the difference is 0 cm.
10 5005 g 5 kg = 5000 g, then add 5 g to get 5005 g; 5 g is not 50 g.

04 What to do after marking

  • After marking, redo only the wrong items and write down which step went wrong (formula, unit, or misread number).
  • Repeat the same item two days later; move to the next paper only when both attempts are correct.
  • Parents only need the answer and note columns; there is no need to explain every item.
