Notice to Parents/Students — Service Agreement

This Service Agreement is a legal document between you and TutorZone governing your use of the services provided on our platform. By registering, enrolling or using our services, you confirm that you have agreed to and accepted all the terms of this Agreement. If you do not agree, please do not use the TutorZone services.

TutorZone is a tutoring matching platform committed to matching tutors with parents/students effectively in order to facilitate teaching arrangements. The platform is only responsible for bringing the two parties together and does not take part in the actual teaching or any subsequent developments.

TutorZone charges relevant service fees to tutors (please refer to the “Service Fees” section for details). However, parents and students are not required to pay any intermediary or administrative fees — the platform is completely free for you. Please use our services with confidence.

We reserve the right to adjust tutor-related fees without prior notice, and any adjusted fees will take effect immediately upon publication. Although parents or students do not need to make any payment, we recommend that you still refer to the “Service Fees” page to understand the overall arrangement.

The platform will make its best efforts to assist in verifying tutors’ academic qualifications and credentials, but cannot guarantee that all information is accurate and complete, and the authenticity of supporting documents submitted by tutors may not be fully confirmed. TutorZone shall not be liable for any loss arising from incorrect or false tutor information.

The identity of tutors is not verified by us one by one; therefore, when you come into contact with a tutor, you should remain vigilant and avoid being deceived. We do not assume legal liability for the conduct or negligence of any user.

In the event of any dispute or issue between a tutor and a parent or student (whether or not arising from a platform match), TutorZone shall not be responsible. The platform shall not be liable for any personal injury or property loss arising from accidents or other circumstances during tutoring.

You agree to authorise TutorZone to make reasonable use of the registration information you submit in the course of providing and promoting the services, without limitation by applicable copyright law or personal data privacy law. Where necessary, we have the right to disclose such information in whole or in part.

If the platform discovers that a tutor and a parent/student have jointly engaged in any form of fraudulent activity, we have the right to recover the service fees involved immediately and to take legal action.

To protect the privacy of both parties, the contact details of the tutor and the parent/student will only be disclosed to each other after a successful match. Both parties should keep each other’s information confidential and must not disclose it privately.

Unless otherwise stated, all cases are billed on the basis of a single subject or course (applies to the tutor fee portion only).

If a parent or student makes a payment to the platform by mistake, the amount will be retained in full as platform credits for future use. Refunds, while not recommended, can be processed with a 15% administrative fee deducted. Please confirm the correct amount before making any payment to avoid errors.

Unless otherwise specified, all amounts are denominated in Hong Kong dollars.

TutorZone reserves the right to update the content of this Agreement at any time without notice. All changes will take effect immediately upon publication.

In the event of any dispute, TutorZone reserves the right of final interpretation of this Agreement.
