Ben and His Red Bag

Ben is 6 years old. He is in Primary One. Every morning he goes to school with his mother.

Ben has a red bag. His grandmother gave him the bag. In the bag there are 3 books, one pencil case and a bottle of water. The bag is heavy, but Ben likes it.

On Monday Ben could not find his bag. He looked under the table. He looked behind the door. He looked in the cupboard. Then his sister Kate said, “Look on the chair in the kitchen!”

Ben ran to the kitchen. His red bag was on the chair next to the fridge. Ben was very happy. “Thank you, Kate,” he said.

B1. Are the sentences true or false? If a sentence is false, write the correct information. (12 marks)

Three sentences are required — one sentence, however long, scores at most 10 of 30.
Write the corrected sentence — if capital letters or full stops are missing throughout, take the marks off Language and write one corrected sentence above the pupil’s work.
Words in a list are not a sentence — a pupil who writes “red blue big” without a verb scores 0 for content.
