03 Answers and one-line notes

# Answer One-line note
1 some A positive sentence before a plural countable noun takes some.
2 any Questions normally take any, and only a positive answer switches to some.
3 any A negative sentence takes any to mean not a single one.
4 many Students is a plural countable noun, so we ask how many.
5 much Water is uncountable, so we ask how much.
6 a little A little goes with an uncountable noun and means a small amount.
7 a few A few goes with a plural countable noun and means a small number.
8 little Very little goes with an uncountable noun and means almost none.
9 a few Students can be counted, so we say a few of them.
10 much should be many Apples are countable, so the question uses how many.

04 What to do after marking

  • After marking, redo only the wrong items and write down which step went wrong (formula, unit, or misread number).
  • Repeat the same item two days later; move to the next paper only when both attempts are correct.
  • Parents only need the answer and note columns; there is no need to explain every item.
